The Urban Voices

The sounds of the city, its voices and character were used to draw the audience into an immersive original sound and 3D building projection installation in Wolfe Tone Square during Dublin New Year’s Festival, 2015.
‘The Urban Voices’ celebrated the acoustic ecology of Dublin city though sound activated graphics projected on to the AXA building.
The audience were treated to an original soundscape, designed musically around the sounds of the city that people interact with on an everyday basis – Luas trams, city centre traffic, mobile phones, bicycle bells, the voices of the sellers on Moore Street and the ducks in St. Stephen’s Green…creating a uniquely Dublin, urban soundscape.
